Jocelyn
I have over 15 years of experience in the disability sector, supporting autistic and neurodiverse individuals to reach their potential and enhance their quality of life. In 2021, I completed my general registration as a psychologist at the University of Auckland, graduating from the Applied Behaviour Analysis programme. Over the past seven years, I have provided behaviour support to a diverse range of clients, including young children, teenagers, and adults living in both community settings and with independent living support.
For the past two years, I have facilitated the Teen Life Programme, run by the National Autistic Society in the UK, helping parents better understand their teenagers and the unique needs that shape their behaviours during adolescence. Additionally, I have experience supervising psychologists, including recently supporting an intern psychologist through to registration.
I am deeply passionate about my work and committed to a reflective, client-centered approach. Collaboration and active listening are at the heart of my practice, ensuring that the individuals I support feel heard and empowered.
I enjoy working with people and supporting them to choose the type of life they want to lead and help them to reach their potential to do this.
Outside of work, I am a proud mum of two adult children living in New Zealand. I enjoy cycling, hiking, and spending time in nature, and I have recently developed a love for cooking.
